Shytoshi Kusama, from cryptochronicle.xyz, has urged more SHIB holders to take part in a DAO vote to determine the destiny of 37.5 ETH gifted to the community from a partner wallet.
The vote offered four choices, with the top pick for many being to transfer the ETH into a new multi-sig wallet for a later vote on its utilization.

With the rapid expansion of the Shiba Inu community, democracy has become crucial, and a recent DAO vote highlighted its effectiveness in shaping the ecosystem’s future. The vote revolved around deciding how to use the 37.5 ETH awarded to the community by a partner wallet, with most members voting against burning the Ether or returning it to the partner.
The 37.5 ETH, valued at $69,000 currently, was donated to the DAO by the partner wallet, Welly’s. The DAO presented four options:

The first option involved placing the funds in a new multisig wallet with trusted community members as custodians, including Kusama. The community would later vote on how to use the funds. Each signee would have one vote and could only use the funds as decided by the DAO.
The second option was to purchase SHIB with the funds and burn it.
The third option allowed the wallet holder to independently decide which projects to fund.
The fourth option was for the wallet holder to retain the funds.

An overwhelming majority of DAO members favored the first option, with over 78 billion SHIB votes. The second choice, burning SHIB worth 37.5 ETH, received support from holders of 14 billion SHIB as a means to enhance the overall health of the SHIB token. Burning SHIB is a common practice in the community to reduce the token supply. Choices 3 and 4 were largely rejected.
The winning choice will be implemented by the end of the month, per the proposal.
Some community members proposed their unique ideas.
“I would utilize the funds for Shibacon, even offering all-inclusive trips or Shibarmy tickets as prizes so people can enjoy these events instead of burning money,” one user suggested on X.
A Democratic Shiba Inu Ecosystem
Democracy plays a vital role in the Shiba Inu ecosystem, with founder Kusama emphasizing the power of community involvement in recent years.
As previously reported, Kusama highlighted that “the genius of Shib is the power of the community.”
In a recent blog post, he stressed the significance of democracy and urged SHIB holders to vote on the fate of the 37.5 ETH.
At present, SHIB is trading at $0.00001345, experiencing a 5% decline in the past day despite a 24% surge in trading volume.
