MetaMask, a leading crypto wallet for Ethereum, has introduced a new feature called ‘Smart Transactions’ to address the issue of maximal extractable value (MEV) impacting the Ethereum network.
The ‘Smart Transactions’ feature allows users to preliminarily place transactions in a “virtual mempool” before they are officially recorded on the blockchain. This virtual mempool helps protect users against MEV tactics.
In addition to offering users better prices, the ‘Smart Transactions’ feature simplifies the process of monitoring transaction status directly through MetaMask.
