Humanode Emerges as the Most Decentralized Blockchain using Polkadot SDK, According to Nakamoto Coefficient – Reports

Humanode, a blockchain built with Polkadot SDK, becomes the most decentralized by Nakamoto Coefficient

London, United Kingdom, May 1st, 2024, Chainwire

Humanode, a Layer-1 blockchain built with Polkadot SDK, has achieved the title of the most decentralized blockchain network to date based on the Nakamoto Coefficient. With 706 active validator nodes, the Nakamoto Coefficient for Humanode is 236, surpassing the previous top contender, Mina, with a Nakamoto Coefficient of 155. Polkadot now resides in the third position.
The Nakamoto Coefficient serves as a metric that indicates the number of node operators needed to control a layer-1 blockchain’s share, enough to potentially shut down the network if validators collaborate towards such a goal. A higher number signifies a more decentralized blockchain.

Victor, co-founder of Humanode, explains, “Proof-of-Stake blockchains often centralize around major validators or staking protocols, such as Lido, which possess the infrastructure. If a platform like Lido experiences downtime, doubts regarding Proof-of-Stake networks’ decentralization may arise. Despite having millions of nodes, the real consensus control lies in the hands of a select few. Our aim was always to alter this dynamic.” He elaborates on Humanode’s uniqueness, stating, “In Humanode, an individual can only launch one node, which undergoes verification through cryptobiometric technology. All validators wield equal power, resulting in proportional decentralization of the Humanode chain with an increase in human nodes. Just envision the Nakamoto Coefficient potential when we reach 10,000 or 1 million nodes! This renders a coordinated attack nearly impossible, establishing Humanode as the epitome of decentralization.”
Humanode will soon introduce its governance protocol, where each human node holds one vote, paving the way for the inaugural democratic DAO to oversee the core protocol and its ecosystem development.
About Humanode
Humanode, constructed on Polkadot SDK as an EVM Compatible Layer-1, stands as the pioneering cryptobiometric blockchain where one human equals one node equals one vote. It leverages private facial recognition to safeguard against multiple accounts and bots exploiting retroactive airdrops, DAOs, DeFi, NFT mints, GameFi, and more. Within a mere year post mainnet launch, Humanode boasts over 500,000 users and collaborates with 70+ projects utilizing its cryptobiometric technology.
